Norwich University's Master of Arts in Military History is designed to present a broad picture of military history. Students will graduate from this program with a sophisticated understanding of the role of the military and war in history. The curriculum includes methodology and historiography, an examination of theoretical concepts and debates over frameworks for analyzing warfare in history, and components dealing with American military history, non-western and non-traditional ways of war, military thought and strategy, and topical areas such as total war and race and gender in military history.
